Three students came up on stage to present the new school values.

Whanaungatanga | Belonging
Everyone who is part of Wesley Intermediate belongs here, people are our most important taonga. We value authentic and respectful connections with each other and our whānau. This means acting in an inclusive, kind and mana enhancing way every time we are around other people.

Rangatiratanga | Leadership
Ranga means to weave and tira means group, so we are all leaders of the future, weaving people together to enhance our first value of whanaungatanga. Rangatiratanga is also self-determination and the pursuit of what is right. This means we value being in the right place, doing the right thing, all of the time. We are the future of Wesley, of Tāmaki Makaurau, of Aotearoa/NZ and of the world.

Hiranga ki mua | Excellence
This means that we value seeking our own personal excellence in everything we do, including our learning, performance, sport and in the way we interact with each other. We have high standards, expectations and aspirations for ourselves and each other.

After the introduction of the new school values the boys cultural group came up on stage to preform.

Has your school ever had a big change ?

SLJ – Kick start

I used the song ‘The come up’ by Lisi 4300. I enjoyed the chill vibe of the song. That was my inspiration to paint this piece of art, a more natural type art. The song is about about the come up of Lisi and where he is now.
I really enjoyed creating this.
The thing I found challenging was getting the hang of sumo art but when i got used to it, it became easy.

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.
In today’s blog i will be showing my kahoot. This term we have been learning about culture diversity, the study of different country’s.
We had to pick a country and create a presentation about the country of our study. After I finished my presentation, I had to create a kahoot about my country which was Spain. I had to make 15 questions about Spain and getting the questions from my presentation, for example what is the population of Spain or who is the king of Spain. So I started creating my kahoot about Spain, adding questions, trick questions,
and photos.

Hello everybody welcome to my blog. This term Wesley intermediates inquiry is cultural diversity, so my teacher gave us a game on google earth, Carmen San Diego google earth challenge, on the first game we were rookies and had to find the crown jewels. We have to travel the world to find the thief and the jewels. We talk to Npcs for clues of how to find the thief, for example, the thief converted there money into yen, yen is the official currency of japan so I traveled to japan and found some clues on where the thief is, eventually after talking to alot of Npcs and getting closer to the thief I found the thief.
Thanks for reading my blog, check out the challenge and see if you can find it.
Try to crack the code on my title good luck 🙂

3 ᴅᴏɴᴋᴇʏ’ꜱ ᴀɴᴅ ꜱʜʀᴇᴋ

Hello everybody and welcome to my blog.
We are trying to change a story from 3rd person/narrator to 1st person. We had to.

  • Pick a fairy tale we know so we can rewrite it.

Brainstorm a fairy tale from another point of view. I choose to do mine from Shrek’s point of view.
Add words describing my character Shrek for example – Scary, huge, Strong, Eyes of a demon, and so on.

Adding pronouns for a different point of view. Like if I was doing shrek’s point of view the pronouns would be, He, him, his, they, them, and I.  If I was doing the third point of view the pronouns would be different.

Check we have the main events from the story and number in order to remind me to use paragraphs

Then we had to write an open paragraph

I was guarding the bridge of a sudden I saw three donkeys about to cross the forbidden bridge. My duty as the protector of the swamp, I must destroy them at all costs. The first donkey walked across the bride, Shrek grabbed his head and devoured him.

I found this pretty easy to do. The thing I found hard about this is writing this whole thing.
Thanks for reading my blog, goodbye.

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.
Today Wesley intermediate had people from central inspector, explaining about the central interceptor.
We did different activity like virtual reality, putting together a puzzle and many more activity’s.
When I got back to class, we had to make a report about the central inspector.
Here is my mini report.

The Central Interceptor is a tunnel that takes wastewater to the Mangere sewage plant, and is one of Auckland’s biggest projects. Due to the old pipes being too old and too small, it couldn’t handle all the  waste water.

The drill making the tunnel is named after the Matariki star Hiwa-i-e-rangi.
The project will take five years and will cost (1.2 billion) New Zealand dollars.
They predict the tunnel will last 100 years, the tunnel will be 14.7km, 15m underground.
Hiwa-i-e-rangi is 4 rhinos tall or a giraffe’s height.

Creating graphs

Hello everybody and welcome to my blog.
In Kowhai we have been learning about how to make graphs.
There are different types of graphs like… pie graph, bar graph and many more.
We had to make a graph about the information that we had… we made a tally chart different types of fruits that we like like apples, kiwifruits and different kinds of fruits. We had to count the amount of people that liked the fruit so for example, nine people like kiwifruits so I added up all the information and I had to make a graph. First I started with a bar graph and it was very simple because I have made a bar graph before.
The thing I found challenging was making the pie chart.
The thing I found easy was making a bar graph.
